Favourite Aspect - The skirt. I like the colour satin I found. It was pretty perfect for Neptine

Least Favourite - Mhmm... the fact the collar decoration kept falling off.

Why? - I may have marginally poked people into cosplaying Sailor Moon characters with me. I asked my friend Caylithe if she'd like to, and suggested Sailor Neptune. Thus this was born. I promised I'd help her, and help her I did. :D

Construction Notes

Having made Sailor Jupiter by now, I had a better idea what I was doing. I used the same pattern I used for Sailor Jupiter (KwikSew 2932) and went from there. The bodice is lycra, and the skirt satin. I cut a long skirt first time for Caylithe's Neptune, so I didn't have to freak out. I also discovered that you don't need tull to make the skirt poof out, as it does it alone.

The bows were done differently on this one too. Instead of tying bows, we made them out of satin. Two pieces of same size satin sewn together and stuffed with wadding. These could then be sewn or velcro'd into place. We bought a pair of wrist length gloves, to which Caylithe is making the cuffs. She also made the sleeves. The collar was just one length of fabric cut from the fold and then sewn all the way around. Neptune;s collar is plain, so we could just leave it as it was. (Which was great!!)

All the accessories are fimo. The collar decoration was two pieces of thin fimo cut and glued together and then paint. The broach was also fimo, painted and glued. The shoes were a pair of cheap ones from Primark and then painted the right colour with acyrlic paint. The wig was an ebay order, again from professional_only.
